In addition, major publications and wire services such as the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Edmonds.com, Forbes, the New York Times, Newsweek, Reuters and the Wall Street Journal either have bureaus or reporters assigned to cover the region.
Detroit is the 11th largest television market and the ninth largest radio market in the United States, and that does not take into account the additional viewers and listeners from Ontario, Canada.
The region is also home to some innovative online news souces and publications including Detroit Make It Here, Model D, Concentrate, AnnArbor.com, Ann Arbor Chronicle and Metromode. In addition, a number of nationally circulated periodicals originate in Detroit covering all aspects of business, culture, education, philanthropy and other subjects.
